Prof. Peter Hancock, D.Sc., Phd has received the prestigious Kent K. Gillingham Award for outstanding contributions in the field of Aerospace Medicine. The award was presented by AMST’s Aeromedical Chief Consultant Brig. Gen. (rt.) Dr. Erich Rödig and Dr. James DeVoll during ASMA Annual Scientific Meeting on 26 May 2022 in Reno. As Mr. Hancock was unable to attend, Dwight Holland, MD, PhD stood in to receive the award.
Peter Hancock is a leading global expert on Human Factors and Ergonomics. He has conducted numerous scientific studies on energetic properties, especially the importance of situational awareness for human performance.
His election to the USAF Science Advisory board and its Army equivalent is exemplary. Professor Hancock is the author of over seven hundred refereed scientific articles and publications as well as writing and editing over twenty books.
