Business Units
Aerospace Medicine
AMST started its business more than 30 years ago in the highly specialised aerospace medicine sector. Since then, the company became the world-wide leader in its field with solutions for aircrew training, aeromedical examinations and pilot selection.
AMST developed a wide range of specialist solutions that can simulate the experience of high G forces, spatial disorientation and high altitudes. The portfolio also includes flight training devices, sports training equipment and systems for pilot selection. AMST also offers human factor trainings such as spatial disorientation and night vision training.
Recently, the business unit expanded its activities beyond the “classic” aeromedical equipment and now also provides solutions for search and rescue, such as the Helicopter Rescue Hoist Trainer and the Underwater Escape Training System.
Civil Aviation
Through its business unit Civil Aviation, AMST makes its advanced technologies available to the civil aviation sector. This allows AMST to deliver equipment such as Full Flight Simulators that exceed the standard of current industry devices.
The business unit uses AMST’s experience to expose commercial pilots to extreme conditions such as spatial disorientation and upset conditions. This improves the quality of training, builds confidence into the pilot and ultimately, into airlines.
Visual Systems
The business unit Visual System focusses on the development of visual system solutions for the simulation industry. With its ground-breaking VISIM Image Generator, the business unit started its activities in the field of OTW visualization and continues to invest in the development of a cutting-edge product portfolio to become a turn-key solution provider for visual systems.
