The NIGHTFOX INVTS is the gold standard of operational human factors training

The INVTS is a complete modular solution for SD and NV training which takes the ab-initio and refresher students through a structured training process using the NIGHTFOX and AIRFOX family. The systems approach to training enables student to achieve maximum training benefit.

The INVTS has a proven record of accomplishment. The three components that make up the system combine the NVTS, the VTIGS and the SD simulators for a modular approach to training.
NIGHTFOX Night Vision Training System (NVTS) including terrain model board. This 3rd-generation terrain model board offers a realistic demonstration of different terrain features under NV conditions.
NIGHTFOX VTIGS with embedded scenarios provides an interactive training solution for pilot and non-pilot aircrews. Mission briefing and pre-briefing can take place prior to execution the SD training.
AIRFOX DISO or ASD: the final link enables pilots to experience the demands of SD and NVG flight in a controlled environment. Missions are recorded for collective debriefing using the VTIGS.

Mission based SD training becomes a reality. Pre-programmed profiles permit realistic distractions with visual and vestibular illusions. This can lead to Loss of Control (LOC) scenarios such as the somatogravic (pitch-up) illusion following an overshoot or Take Off, Go Around (TOGA) manoeuvre.
With this technology, it is possible to create the most realistic NVG training with all typical NVG effects like halos, blooming and washout and provides the best training value for NV training available today, resulting in better training quality and effectiveness. This increases operational flight safety.
The other trainees in the classroom can follow the mission flown in the SD simulator using the simulator link from the VTIGS to the SD simulator. This greatly enhances trainee throughput. Furthermore, all pilots participating in the same flight will benefit from the debriefing.
